Approximately twenty-five thousand homes in south-east Queensland woke up without power on Monday morning after powerful weather events impacted the area, bringing strong winds topping 109 kilometers per hour.
Substantial Hailstones and Extensive Damage
Residents observed substantial frozen pellets reaching sizes of 7cm in particular locations. The Bureau of Meteorology confirmed that multiple regions across Queensland had been affected by substantial ice precipitation.

Response teams were attempting to repair electricity service throughout the affected regions, with approximately seventy teams working to handle the widespread outages.
Victorian Climate Difficulties
At the same time, approximately 1,000 households in the southern state also encountered electricity disruptions after the capital city recorded its wettest day in a year and a half.
Rescue organizations responded to nearly 600 calls for help across the state, primarily for structural issues but also for fallen timber and water accumulation.

During the peak on Sunday, in excess of 28,000 power users in the state were lacking electricity.
Meteorological Predictions
Moist weather were expected to linger along much of the state's eastern regions this coming days as a weather pattern continued to draw in moisture against the coast.
The following day was predicted as the most rainy day, with ongoing thunderstorm potential anticipated across various areas of both areas.
Health Warning
Public health experts cautioned that there was an increased chance of weather-related respiratory issues across the state's northern country region, particularly given the existing atmospheric conditions.
