A bettor earned a substantial sum on the ouster of Nicolás Maduro immediately preceding it was officially announced, raising questions about potential gains made from confidential information of the US operation.

Bets placed on the crypto-platform, a blockchain-based service, that Nicolás Maduro would be out of power by the end of January surged in the time leading up to former President Trump stated on Saturday that the Venezuelan leader had been apprehended.
A particular user, which became a member in December and made four bets, all on Venezuela, profited a total of $nearly half a million from a modest bet of $32,537.
