An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by police.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.
The arrests come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, two women had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.
Officers detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Police were alerted at about 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals injured by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.
The assault - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
